She is the principle of the team behind the design firm dvd Interior Design, in Greenwich, Connecticut. Since leaving her corporate project management job in Manhattan, she has been designing residential interior spaces since 2005 and has been in Connecticut for over 15 years creating relationships with tradespeople and manufacturers in the local area. She collaborates with clients to create an intimate and balanced environment to foster a living space that is not only wonderful in scale and performance but a space that connects them and makes them happy to be home.
Since graduating with a BFA in Interior Design, Deborah's career range in the design industry has been expansive, covering over 20 years and a wide variety of professional experiences and endeavors. Her current work as an Interior Designer and Decor Blogger keeps her involved in a variety of projects both as a freelance consultant and project designer.
Deborah is also the Editor and Founder of a national blog, dvd Interior Design, an online decor destination for design tips, resources and event highlights for home, kitchen and bath.
Through her platform, which she started in 2015, she has expanded her audience and industry involvement by attending blog tours and reporting on industry events, acting as an ambassador to brands and fundraisers, speaking at events, writing Ebooks and training seminars, she also frequently a conducts visibility events for local retail brands. In addition to her own site, She is a guest writer for a variety of other sites including iBlog Magazine, Blissfully Domestic, National Organization of Professional Organizers, and more. She writes weekly on design resources, highlights from industry events, and interior design topics aimed to educate and inspire her readers.
Her life is a little crazy managing work, growing and building a national design platform, and taking care of her 3 young boys, a dog, and bird, and her man, but this has been her lifelong passion to create real homes for real people and share the journey with an interested community. Whether a new build, remodel, or a room in need of some styling, she is known for creating beautiful and timeless environments with a classical style that reflects her clients' personalities and allows them to feel a sense of place, and pride in their home.
